Helichrysum is one of the hidden secrets of aromatherapy. The oil has wonderful blood decongesting properties, and is more powerful than arnica. A lot of cosmetic acupuncturists use this oil because of this property. The oil is good for emotional bruising too, and can be sniffed direct from the bottle at times of stress. It is one of the safest oils to use directly on the skin, and it blends well with Lavandin, Lavender, Rose, Jasmine and  Camomile. Helichrysum italicum is most favoured for therapeutic use, and 1590, Organic Helichrysum, is recommended by Virginia Doran in her Facial Rejuvenation programme.
