Ginger is strongly associated with the digestive system. Ginger root is one of the key remedies in ayurveda for stimulating digestive fire (agni), and Ginger essential oil lends itself well to abdominal massage where it may be used in a blend. It is warming and stimulating, encouraging movement, but also soothing to tired muscles. It brings warmth wherever it is applied, so it is a great oil to use in the winter months.
