Tansy Essential Oils

Tansy Essential oil includes both Blue Tansy (Tanacetum annuum) and Tansy (Tanacetum vulgare). It is important to distinguish between the two. Blue Tansy is high in chamazulene, giving it its strikingly lovely blue colour. It is helpful in soothing sore muscles and is a good support for the skin and digestive systems. It can be used in a similar way to German Camomile. Tansy, on the other hand, should not be used in aromatherapy due to its high ketone content.
