The Deluxe Skin Care range is based around three naturally occurring oils known to have a nourishing effect on the skin.
Calophyllum inophyllum grows in the mountains of Madagascar where it has been appreciated by the indigenous people for generations as a panacea for all kinds of hair and skin problems. Unlike some commercial brands, our oil is not a solvent extraction, so that its valuable polyunsaturated fatty acids and lipoproteins are fully preserved.
Centella is another ancient healing plant that grows in the countries bordering the Indian Ocean and in South America. The small leaves of this creeping plant contain powerful active ingredients whose healing and beneficial effects on injuries and ulcers have been known for many generations. In India, it is considered a holy plant and is used in Ayurveda as a rejuvenating agent. Centella stimulates synthesis of collagen and has a general regenerative effect on the tissue. This oil is macerated in organic sweet almond.
Rosa Rubiginosa comes from the Chilean Andes. Its regenerative effects on the skin have recently been highlighted by research in Chile, Germany and the US. Oil of Rosa Rubiginosa is rich in unsaturated fatty acids, which are vital for the synthesis of prostaglandines in the cell core, for the regeneration of membranes, for the defence mechanism as well as for other processes involved in the regeneration of the skin.
